Oh it's these guys. I remember them from a couple of years ago. Wish I still had the pics/vids/etc cause they were based and funny as fuck. Interviewers would ask them about their policies on gay rights etc and they would just look baffled, like you asked them their political stance on xbox vs playstation or metallica vs megadeth or something.

The manifesto was unironically the best out of all the new wave of populist parties too. It manages to be direct and no-bullshit without coming off as crude, uneducated, trashy etc. Was the first time I read a party manifesto and felt like this was something I would actually get involved in if we had a party like that here. Honestly I feel like there a big gap in the market for parties like this in the west, especially places like sweden etc with proportional representation and a more consensus-based culture. Maybe keep it separate from the rougher grittier populist parties and aim for coalitions so different personality types have space to cooperate without stepping on each others' toes.

This kind of thing is quite common in Asia. Thailand and a few other places do it too. Foreign investors can still lease land from citizens or the state if they want exclusive usage rights, they just can't truly own it. Completely eliminates foreign speculation without impacting legitimate business much, since an 100 year lease is basically the same as owning if you are actually using the land instead of just hoarding it to create artificial scarcity and then sitting on it while the line goes up.

Israel is even more strict. Isareli citizens effectively can't own land (technically they can but it's complicated and uncommon). Something like 95% of the land is owned by the state and leased. It's hilarious how US boomers worship Israel so much, but if you suggested emulating any of their policies in the US they would call it fascism/socialism/communism/etc.
