Trump forced the ceasefire on both sides. Neither of them really wanted it, but both weren't in ideal situations to continue, with Iran having no allies participating and US basically saying "this is all you'll get from us" and Israel were counting on us getting more involved.

The chief operational goal was wrecking Iran's ability to enrich Uranium in the short term. Long term of course they'll rebuild. It's not the damage from the missiles themselves, which is minimal.
There are two main reasons Israel benefits from a ceasefire now.
First, the fact that there are missiles getting through at all means the risk of a prolonged period of economic hardship as people leave and business activity is slowed or halted.
Second, they will run out of air defense missiles before Iran will run out of ballistic missiles.
If they run out of AD missiles, then the actual damage from Iran's missiles could get serious.

From my experience being in central tel aviv, near a military base actually, it was a run of the mill war. All you need to do is get to a shelter, which are absolutely everywhere, and you have like 10 whole minutes to do it. If you do that you're fine. So I don't know, didn't seem like a serious threat as a person who was on ground zero in the most relevant area of Israel. At no point was I really spooked. I could have done another month of this easy.
