I can see it in my market which has been very strong for a long time. There was a very short-lived buying frenzy this spring and then all the buyers dried up. Everything is sitting now. Sellers getting desperate but not really budging on price yet. I see listings that say things like “Highly motivated seller! Huge price improvement (2%)! Seller credits available. Act now to get this phenomenal house at a great price ($800,000)! House will be listed for rent if not under contract by May 24th (still not under contract or rented).”
This sort of thing was completely non-existent for the last 13 years.
