Haven't used windows in years. I used to keep a windows drive just for games, but proton works so well now it's almost never necessary.

Mint basically just works. I run arch on desktop, but i have a bunch of shitty old laptops and i just stick mint on all of them because its so convenient.

They've got some good games on there (I won a bunch of 1 month PC passes with my favourite chips) but the worst thing is it'll only let you play the base game through gamepass - if you want to play any DLC you can't just pay for the DLC, you have to buy the whole thing.

Steam OS will be the goto gamer OS within 2 years. Its already rolling out onto pc builds. That will pretty much make windows go down the business only route because they will have to start charging more, people wont pay, linux wins

by this point windows will be so bloated its going to be unusable by even slightly older hardware
