To fuck over all the people holding our debt. Giant deficit doesn't matter if we just devalue our own currency. Devaluing our own currency doesn't matter if we just use the new money to stimulate our own economy. Giving other countries strong currencies doesn't matter if we just release more strains of covid, make other countries lock down and ruin their economies, and then refuse to lock down our own economy. Full economic dominance.

It is a big deal because America has been the sole superpower in the world for over 35 years and the US currency has been the world's reserve currency for approximately the last 80 years. you're talking a lot of shit but everything you said is just worse for america, if europe is forced to buy american oil anyways then how does it benefit america that they get it for less money now? you're not competing with anyone when it comes to selling oil to europe, europe has no other choice, this is just a good deal for them, and if trump tries to force china to buy more natural resources from america (didn't work last time) then they just get more bang for their buck, if trump forces them to buy 100 million dollars worth of oil then if it's 15k tons then it's a better deal for them than if it was 10k tons, like both of the things that mentioned only make a weaker currency worse for america, since neither of them are a competitive environment, american oil being cheaper doesn't make it more competitive, it's not competing with anyone, it just means you get less money, if you were exporting goods that are in high demand and you're competing with a lot of other exporters on the market then a lower currency could be helpful, but you don't, you export natural resources to hostage buyers

The value changes in that us exports are now more competitive. Not that the US get less money. You do realize its not a good thing for currency to always be at the highest possible value right? Theres a reason why China does everything it can to devalue the yuan and while the russian economy is a total wreck now despite the ruble being at a recent high in value. lmaooooo what do you think "more competitive" means? it's like you're just repeating buzzwords without understanding what they mean, being "more competitive" means that something is cheaper so people are more likely to buy it, meaning that you get less money, but it is true that china is manipulating their currency, so they'll just manipulate their currency again to be weaker than the dollar anyways, so it doesn't even matter for china-usa trade, it matters for usa trade with other countries though that don't manipulate their currencies, they now just pay less money for what they buy from america (mostly petroleum)
