>>509433869>I'd imagine body weight is a large factor and you didn't ask about anon's weightit's not. Bodyweight is a factor when getting drunk because alcohol spreads throughout your body. However the rate of detoxification stays roughly the same no matter how much you weigh (~0.1 permille per hour). As such you see that the amount of alcohol consumed is more important than your bodyweight. You run a risk if you consume ~100g of pure alcohol per day over multiple years. 1L of 7.5% cider puts you at 60g per day which puts you at a low risk, if any. 2L of 7.5% cider make for 120g of pure alcohol per day which gets you into risky territory. Spiking that with half a liter of vodka of 40%? That's another 200g of alcohol on top for a total of 320g, that's dangerous.
However since britanon didn't quit cold turkey, but dialed his drinking down back to 2L of 3.75% 50/50 cider/water we're back at 60g of alcohol per day. Plus reducing the amount consumed per day rather than quitting cold turkey helps to avoid seizures. Best he could do is go from 2L a day down to 1L a day down to half a liter maybe and then stop, but even quitting after drinking 1L of 3.75% for a while should be considered quite safe.
