What do we do about it? I'm persuaded of its necessity to deter degenerate behaviors and Muslim immigration. But when I ask how we slow or stop mass apostasy, Christians want everyone to start believing again. That's what their heart wants, to be surrounded by like minded believers so it feels real. I understand that, but it's unworkable. You can't close pandora's box.

When I say this, they get upset and angry, accusing me of being jewish or black. So I post a photo of my pale hand touching ham. They say "then denounce the Talmud", so I do. So they say I must be gay or trans. It just continues like that. No constructive brainstorming gets done. I want to help save an important white cultural institution but these people are their own enemies. They won't be honest with themselves about why people are leaving. And until they are, they won't be able to devise any workable solutions. The Catholics are lapsing in their discipline with Latin. There are so many opportunities for protestants, but Christianity in its modern form is billed as a big shortcut to an eternal reward, and not a path of discipline. I believe mostly from a practical point of view. I attend mass because it's a good rhythm/routine for me, and it helps the community by keeping a complex institutional block against degeneracy. I say prayers because I believe it focuses my mind and goals and desires, and that's important. I believe the canon is an important symbolical metaphor from which we can all learn. But I don't take it very seriously; reality is that we can readily observe. Even history going back 200 years is uncertain let alone 2000. But i digress

Religion is useful, on the social level and individual levels, i.e., it's conducive to growth. Maybe start going for that angle. The problem is people love muh symbols and muh ancient esoteric knowledge. That's why it ought to remain more like Plato's noble lie. Hth op

I see I misunderstood your post. I've actually played with a similar thought, that Genesis describes events that happened before writing was developed, so the details of the story are garbled beyond recognition by who knows how many generations of oral tradition. Divine inspiration in that view protected the essentials, but the story as written can't be called historical. I haven't decided either way about whether or not to accept that position though.
