Look into wet bulb events. The southern US is going to become uninhabitable in the summer. America invading Canada was pretty much inevitable. Canada is one of the best countries in the world for climate change.

When we're all living in a post apocalyptic wasteland type world this will still be some of the most habitable and disaster-free land with a lot of untapped resources and opportunities to rebuild. North America is pretty far from the world and has a lot of infrastructure. In a post-collapse world this is the best continent to be on, and Canada is the best country to be in for that. Just stay alive this decade and you're better set up than 99% of humanity.

Second, this isn't sustainable and it's already showing cracks in the system and starting to fail. This place is not nearly as broken as the media is making it out to be, but becoming a state might snap it. However I think the USA is going to crash and burnout soon, which will bring about the collapse of the Canadian economy and financial system. Anger will boil over, Indians will be threatened, a lot will go home. India will be more disconnected from the chaos and many Indians are safer and richer back home anyways after such a collapse.

In the aftermath a north american state will be cobbled together, a bit like the EU with free movement and trade, but the myths of neoliberalism will be totally invalidated and hated.

Also racism will probably remain a large force in North America since there will be no major government power here to enforce any change in views.

But the alternative is that the USA doesn't collapse, Trump's masters consolidate and create a surveillance totalitarian state with ethnostate leanings among key figures like Miller, and the system is probably stable for a while. A soft annexation of Canada would occur then.

Long term race would be less of an issue in North america than political views, but a lot of non-whites would definitely be gone. I assume that type of state would collapse eventually. But in the meantime Canada doesn't remain like it is now in any scenario, and most Indians won't stay here for a country they don't care about.

Only small issue is that India may become uninhabitable, but not Punjab as much. We'll have to see.
