>>509463798Better than nothing, but you'll run into two problems with the trade route. You're 36, your body is probably already on it's downward trend, and all of the 'good' trades require a 4+ year apprenticeship before you even start making decent money. So by the time you actually finish your apprenticeship, you'll be 40+ and not have a whole lot of productive years left, and there's a real chance you won't be accepted for apprenticeships due to your age.
Most of the remaining 'decent' jobs, are ones with age restrictions that naturally shake out older workers that would otherwise clog the field up. Unfortunately, you are already past the age you'd have to be under for things like air traffic controller (man I wish I'd known about this shit back before I wasted time in college, that's a gold mine).
Depending on your area, you might be able to eke out a living as a landscaper/handyman. Most of the people in that 'field' seem wildly incompetent when it comes to making themselves visible online for customers to find them. ~40-50 dollars for equivalent of 1-2 hours of work, not great, but it's better than a mcjob. The main obstacle is finding customers, and the initial upfront cost of a vehicle to transport your equipment/the equipment.
Whatever you end up doing, I'd suggest you start soon. The later you start, the harder you'll need to grind to actually catch up, as you're finding out.
