Upkeep and state standards along with certs you have to reup make buying land harder than a self performed appendectomy. I wanted to buy land in Idaho but the annual cost is like 30k and I won't live there but for half the year. Owning land is for extremely wealthy people who have money to pass away. We are already basically back to fuedalism where wealthy own large amount of land. The US is already a dead country. No hope for buying land or homes.

I don't make more than poverty wages, all my money goes to bills and charity. Also, borrowing money with interest is against my religion. The only way I can acquire land is to secure a job that pays a decent salary and get a Shariah compliant loan from an Islamic bank. I found a bank, just need to get the job, about to finish my programming portfolio. I have written four web apps, a web scraper, solved 100 LeetCode problems, and am about to finish my third neural network. I think that should do it.
