>>509479102 (OP)I work because my family needs me to. If I do not work, my children starve. Working has allowed me to have a home, a wife, two children, and most importantly, a reason to get up in the morning. Others know that I work hard, and I have at least a modicum of respect for that. There is value in being very good at something, even if you do not personally enjoy it. There is also a reason that our forebearers burned their childhood toys when they became men and took up cards or billiards instead. Your "vidya" are merely the toy soldiers your Victorian progenitors threw into the fireplace. Yes, NEET is comfy, but NEET's life has no purpose outside of banal, hollow pleasures. Finishing the single player campaign is not an accomplishment like building a fence. Masturbating is not an accomplishment like fathering a child. Headshotting some noob in CoD is not an accomplishment like killing a deer. Making a character in an RPG is not an accomplishment like writing a novel with a compelling protagonist. To be NEET would be the worst version of myself, something that would disgust me were I to see it in the mirror. Truth is, all you NEETs who claim to be so comfy and cool are all secretly ashamed of yourselves. The question is, is it already too late for you? What's the difference between a NEET and a nursing home patient? They both never leave their rooms. Someone brings them tasty food. They have their glowing box to keep them entertained as the bedsores form. Not the kind of life I want.
