I've been to many states for work. New Hampshire is where you want to be. Connecticut and Massachusetts are okay but pricey. Rhode Island is not bad but just dirty. Upstate NY os comfy. Florida has some nice areas. I did not like Texas but it's probably closer to your climate. I hated the entire west coast. Most of Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan are fine in their suburbs. Avoid new jersey, Missouri, any Dakota.

South and north of Seattle you have cities like Bellingham which are just beautiful
New York is honestly one of a kind, it's like a maze within a maze, there are so many things to do and you can just walk around for hours and get lost. Parking can be annoying so you just have to travel on foot but it's not bad at all you just follow the tons of other people through the pedestrian crossings you dont even have to look at the lights desu. Lots of Chinese malls that feel like a world of Warcraft dungeon and other places to get lost in but the Chinese malls are like having Aliexpress right next to you. Also you can barter with them always try to cut down at least 25% of the price know what things cost on Chinese websites or look it up in front of them.
Another good place possibly is Philadelphia or one of the surrounding cities or just anywhere in the mid Atlantic or New England, the infrastructure here actually exists compared to a lot of America and everything is nice.

Only the UP and the far northern part of the lower peninsula are worth living in in Michigan. The southern part is too populated and full of minorities. Unfortunately, electricity prices in MI are rising due to forced green transition, which makes it harder to recommend.

Brother I know what you mean but they don't really understand the way Americans view ancestry. It's incredibly static in the British Isles (if you're indigenous) so they naturally tend to assume it's the same everywhere, and unfairly hold this standard to Americans.

What these Bongs should realize is that they're specifically talking about ancestry or blood lines when they say they're 'British'. A brit hears that and thinks they're saying they're literally from Britain.
