This particular object of wood was dispatched to me by Executors of a Will, after the sudden but not unexpected death of my beloved grandfather, a USMC veteran of the Great War, whom (as family legend claims) recovered said object off the deceased remains of an honorable nipponese enemy officer at the battle of Iwo Jima.
