That *finally* changed last year, supreme court removed their privilege with overwhelming approval from the public. The men now serve in the IDF. Many actually enjoy it aswell and want to be professional soldiers,sailors,airmen and border police as a career not just mandated conscription.

Everything else is true, they are literally holding the country back and many are pissed off about it.

They are also extremely insular,fanatically observant of the torah and rather racist even to other Jews especially if you "look like a goyim"(which is over 45% of Israeli Jews who are of European appearance yet genetically aren't related to Europeans). It's even worse if you're a Beta Israeli(Ethiopian).

They also have "No go areas" in multiple cities like Jerusalem where you have to comply with their dress codes and use of language or be removed from the area.
