But that's not what Christianity teaches. True Christian doctrine is that wisdom and virtue are the only way to ascend, you have to align yourself with God. Simply saying "okay jesus please forgive me of my sins" is a guarantee that you go to the hell realms because you aren't working on yourself when you do that, you're asking somebody else to do the work for you.
