I have a similar story. When I was 13, living abroad in the UK, this cute girl from school named Hannah had a crush on me. I also liked her back but I was inexperienced and had low self-confidence. One time we randomly met outside of school when I was hanging out in front of this movie theatre with some buddies. I don't expect that this would have been a relationship that was going to last, though it could have, but I have a profound regret of missing out on experiencing young love knowing I will never be a 13 year old just starting to discover life again when feelings were much more special and I was much more naive.
