I have a lot of sympathy for the Ukrainians. Had it since the beginning whilst most people were cheering on these brave Ukrainians and all that craic. I suppose it's easy to cheer on the death and destruction of a people when it's presented to you through the lens of propaganda. Even today you'll still hear that any day now the Russians will lose because they've lost a million troops or some other retarded number or how they're relying on North Korea and Iran to supply them with weapons and troops because Russia has none. Not to mention the clowns who like to go on about how Russian nuclear weapons don't work. Just complete and utter mindless retardation.

I feel terrible for Ukrainians. I don't know if the NATO dream was real (probably not) but the EU thing a mirage from the beginning. There's simply no way that a country that big and that poor could be allowed in even if they changed politically. Especially since they depend so much on farming, if it was oil or minerals it would be different.
They have their coups and protests waving EU flags like Georgians do and it's just depressing that people would be so stupid and our rulers so evil.

From what I've read just follow his own political program. Make peace with the Eastern oblasts, give them reasonable concessions and move on to conducting regular (non-miltary) anti-terrorist operations like a civlized country if needed be it against nazis or separatists. Continue cleaning it up without getting married to neither the EU or Russia (both deals offered to Yanukovich sucked) or the IMF. Make NATO go to them at the right time when an opportunity arises in the future, not the other way around. I'd probably get couped. Last time I checked Russia had conducted 3000 drone attacks in a single average day, as per Ukraine's military forces' own report. We get a lot of videos from their side but I'm not sure drone warfare is benefitting them.

Russia doesn't need that land (besides Crimea), Russia just won't allow extraction from that land by western aligned forces because it cuts into their profits because if they would by natural gas from Ukraine, they won't have to buy from Russia. The safest way for Ukraine was just to assure to Russia that they won't invest in resource extraction and focus their economy on something else, wait for the moment when Putin dies or something and then start resource extraction.
