I like cutting grass, I feel like a productive member of society because I'm actually doing work, physical work that people will thank me for, plus i get to keep looking down in my own world.
I'm also helping humanity in the war against nature, I have to hold back my maniacal evil laugh as I slaughter all the nature.
I see small toad jumping out of my way out the corner of my eye, yes little frog, you are right to be afraid of me, I am death, I am the most dangerous animal the human.
Puffs of smoke are coming from the machine I operate, it spits and coughs, especially if I choke it for a second by lifting the bar.
I imagine myself the operator of a spice harvester as I genocide my garden of undesirables, a small giggle leaves my mouth as I imagine what I will write on 4chan.
I probably bother the neighbors, I imagine them crying in bed like that wojak meme, but they can't say anything because I have the law on my side, plus I have the LAWnmower, don't mess with me, I'm being useful, people trust me with heavy machinery.

I worked on small engines until I was 30. Anyone that doesn't own a battery weedeater and blower now is a faggot. I would charge $65 an hour for repairs $20 just to have me even pull the cord on it and tell you whats wrong, either you left old gas in it or you are mixing it yourself thinking you are getting it right. Either way, a single trip to the shop and you have bought several batteries worth. Last time I checked the shop in town is $72 an hour. Thats warrenty shit though, when I was leaving they stopped accepting poulan, and no your husqvarna from home depot isn't much better.

My electric weed eater is pretty good but my electric mower is dog shit. If the grass is even a little thick or overgrown it gets bogged down and shuts off. Unless the grass is already perfectly cut the battery is drained so fast I can’t even mow my .4 acre on a single charge. I actually end up doing the rest of the yard with the weed eater once it dies most of the time.

And very little known fact, if it's not cut it attracts flies. It has to be a lot taller like 3 or 4 feet but once it starts growing seeds it attracts flies like crazy and they feed on them.

I aspired to cut grass, as my older brother once did for a living, but I was outright rejected over my resume. There was nothing on my resume about zero turn mowers. I went back and forth with the bossman over email and a damn website chat over a landscaping job. I've shoveled coal, sorted trash, paved roads. Back in the day they didn't even have websites, but they had lawnmower men. But the man said NO, you cannot be a lawnmower man, and I didn't even get to see his face or shake his hand. I can mow a mean lawn. Push mower, powered mower, I can work a zero turn. Man said move along, and so I did, fate denied me such a simple existence. It sounded very straightforward and even relaxing to be honest.

I have to split it into two days even with a battery swap. it's so annoying and my yard is large enough that I'm looking into a riding mower, the only ones you can still find gas powered. zero turn isn't much more, any advice yard bros?
