Sadly true. The "new" Japanese will be mutts. Most likely half-black, half-muzzie, half-jeet, and a handful of half-whites and half-Latin American. Not to mention Japanese mixed with Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Filipino since those 4 are the largest foreign groups in Japan currently.
What fascinates me is the social and political fallout of a Japan that no longer resembles what it once was before the new millennium. Japan like any other land has its waves of peoples that settled, conquered, or assimilated.
But in modern context, foreigners have a strong pull to their ethnic roots instead of the countries they emigrate to. What kind of Japan will be made when you have these hybrids who may not all speak or write Japanese fluently? And they incorporate more of their fathers' (because obviously it's going to be non-Japanese dudes mixing with Japanese sluts) in place of their mothers'?
Even the foreigners who are enthralled with Japan will soon realize that "real Japanese" are no longer around. The shrines and other cultural landmarks will be neglected, in disrepair, and most likely trashed. Probably bulldozed to make mosques and Hindu temples.
And then there's the question of how all these mutt offspring will interact with each other as well as any remaining legit Japanese. I suspect there's going to be a lot of tribalism and gatekeeping.
