Pagan traditions are nonsense. The European pagan religions were just as insane and brutal as the Aztecs and Mayans. They encouraged human trafficking, kidnapping, denial of human rights, human sacrifice, temple prostitution, child sacrifice and pillaging of their weaker neighbors.

I guess you want to gloss over the human sacrifices of the phoenicians, the Vikings and the Canonites. I guess you want to gloss over the boy lovers and temple prostitutes of Greece. I guess you want to gloss over the violence of the vikings, Spartans, Romans etc. I guess you want to gloss over the human trafficking and kidnapping of slaves all over Europe.

The wisdom, love and teachings of the Bible oppose all that. It benefited both Jews and Gentiles.

It's nihilism weaponized by the will to power. If everyone is equal to God, then God truly cares for nothing. Not for morality, not for beauty, not for strength, not for wisdom, nothing. What kind of world does that create when there are no rewards for being those things? It creates an ugly and a bleak world, is what it does. Where nothing matters because nothing is held as valuable or supreme, no man can even rise above because to God, it is meaningless, and so his followers believe the same, or so they preach. If you love the things of the world then they are good. Since what is good other than what fulfills its purpose? It is good to be strong and intelligent, and to feel a sense of confidence in your capacity, this is pride. It is good to love beautiful women, because they are better. It is good to be wealthy, because then and only then can you withstands the shocks of life.
