Well, let's look at the aftermath of the war:

Communism reigned unchecked (and it does to this day despite the fall of the Soviets), killing millions. America made the world abandon the gold standard so our money is basically worthless and can be printed out of thin air by our masters.

England, and the whole Europe for that matter is being invaded by people of a completely different culture, religion, ethnicity (people that actually hate europeans) and the current european, descendant of the survivors of two great wars that massacred their best men, is unable to stop it.
