Yes, it is cringe. Any relationship where you place undue priority on your partner is going to be hell. A good relationship is where you could have someone fit in with your life and no fuck things up. If you don't have a good life then a relationship is not going to help.

No, they don't. I was always in some sort of romantic relationship from early adolescence until a few years ago, whether FWB, something really serious, or somewhere in-between, and I decided to go it alone because it always seemed to be more stress than reward.

The first two years were actually really nice, catching up on reading and film and so on, but I am fucking lonely and sexless and getting back into the dating pool fucking sucks. I broke up with every chick I was ever with looking for something better*, and broke up with the last one because I was sick of the burdens of it all.

I'm sure I'll land on my feet, but once you get a girl, try to meet her halfway on most things and take care of her well and keep her, and save yourself the torment of learning the hard way like I have.

I think there are multiple problems going on at once here and outside of here...

1) People here put too much of their idea of happiness on having a perfect ideal of what their wife should be. It makes it easier to cope if you think "There are no good women anymore" or if you apply standards of "18 to 22 and still a virgin". That is unrealistic in the modern world. Dudes literally want gorgeous tens who have never been touched and who share the political views. None of the chads out there are getting that either. We all sacrifice something when we date. All of us.

2) People outside of here dismiss the idea of how depressed incels or just MGTOW types feel about their social lives. Telling someone "Never being with someone isn't a big deal" is easy to say when you yourself are with someone or could easily get with someone. It's wrong to dismiss the pain of others. Even if they're causing a lot of that pain themselves. You should still try to find compassion for them. Human beings crave socialization and being in sexual relationships. It's normal to desire that and to want that.

And because of those 2 things that are such hardline positions of unrealistic ideas we end up with assholes on both side being ridiculous. Group 2 should shut up and Group 1 should be more realistic about dating in the 21st and even what it was like in the 20th and 19th centuries.

It's not, at all but that doesn't mean it's not the ultimate ideal and that the bumps in the road that come along with any human relationship aren't just a part of life.

You can't have kids unless you have a relationship. You can cope about rape fantasies or living like a nigger and throwing your seed around without a care, but there's a reason why the vast majority of human societies have been built off of the nuclear family, and before retards start seething if you think the nuclear family is bad you've got a bunch of kike propaganda in your head confusing you.

The nuclear family is not the strawman you have in your head where mommy and daddy have no interactions with extended family and cut off their kids at 18. This has never been a deliberate social model. When people said nuclear family, they meant it in the sense that the relationship between parents and children are the NUCLEUS around which all other relationships form. You cannot have an extended family without first having a nuclear family.
