So the solution is to demand a welfare state like Europe? I hate people who say 'just improve things' and can't even give an abstract. Most public debt goes to healthcare institutions, when people say 'debt isn't bad if you owe it to yourself' well cut pension programs then and see what happens. After a certain point you need to ask "who is paying for this?" because in almost every instance it's the private sector, even in Europe. Are you competent enough to join the private sector? If not then it's hard to make real wealth. Transitioning to service work is basically welfare with extra steps, but when it's most jobs the economy needs to decide exactly how many people it wants to support because the average "European" country is like 10-20 million people much like all of the 'socialist' parts of the US like Vermont.
