I found the incident that convinced me the FBI just lets mass shootings happen.

It was the 2021 Indianapolis shooting by Brandon Scott Hole, where the FBI interviewed the shooter, saw he was a schizo, but not a racist, and let him go on his way, with not red flags raised, no attempt to stop him getting guns.

not much. They find a lone wolf loser and befriend him and feed him a bunch of racist crap. Then they convince him that he has people on his side that are white and are pro white race. Then the FBI steps in, teaches him about explosives and set him up with a bunch of gear. Teach him how to shoot or whatever.

And then they just leave him with all the propaganda and guns and explosives or whatever he has and within a year or two he goes out on his own and shoots up a school or some public place to make his handlers proud ( who are no longer hanging out with him... he does it to impress them ). He says nothing to the police ( and there really isn't anything to implicate his handlers anyway ). A few of them do cry "patsy" but it doesn't matter he pulled the trigger and there are no links back to his handlers.

Everything in this thread is pretty baseless. Perhaps the FBI occasionally interacts with people being groomed, but they are not radicalized by the FBI and there's no ongoing interaction. The CIA is responsible for anything of this nature.
