This is also true for other track days... but usually they are relegated to the beginner run groups... but sometimes it will happen during the end of the day when run groups are ignored and the track becomes "open track".

It is always amusing to see a fancy mercedes with 450 hp and a cocky rich-guy driver get humbled because a teenager in a ratty old miata can pass him as soon as they get to any corners.... that is if they actually give out point bys. There are occasions where there will be a line of miatas, civcs, rusty old m3s, etc behind some guy in a brand new porshe, because the guy just will not get point bys to anything that is worth less than 100,000$.

You might crash 2. Your driving will be less predictable for the other drivers. So, standard instructions: don't even look in your mirrors at all. Just focus on your racing line. Iirc on touristfahren you're supposed to signal to let faster traffic know what side to overtake on.
