I've read a person breaking up a 30 year long friendship this year because of their psychotic obsession of not seeing anyone in real life in fear of catching the virus, somebody getting a warning letter form their doctor office threatening them that they might get kicked off & banned from all other offices from the same provider in the entire state due to OOP DEMANDING they were masks at all times when they come to visit, posters admitting they're losing their touch with reality, people cutting off family too, people getting kicked out of their universities for refusing to take exams without their mask etc. I could go on and on this is actually crazy what the fuck. Its been like 5 years let it go.

I live in a midwestern city and drive public transport. There's about 2 or 3 black people (almost always blacks) I see that wear masks 24/7. Overhead this one talking to these hot chicks going to the club who were kind of making fun of him and he was like "covid still out there y'all, I ain't takin any chances!!!"

The worst part about this entire situation is that they are actually correct. If you remember the very early Wuflu threads, mid-late 2019, then you know about the "airborne AIDS" model due to direct infection of immune cells. Back in 2022 or 2023, I talked to the mother of someone who was probably ~13 at the time. I saw the parents and son wear masks for longer than the gym required. Eventually the parents stopped wearing masks, but the son still did. The mom said he felt it was like a security blanket even thought the parents tried to get him to stop.

While the parents are certainly to blame for scaring the shit out of their children, there is a chance that the kid is wearing the mask despite his parents' wishes.
