IF it is a simulation, that would make it a test and if it is a test, then whatever or whoever put us here wants to see how intelligent we are and what we can achieve or build with the resources given

then I don't think we should all intermix out of a weird political white woman getting back at their dad fetish, because it would take longer to build everything that way (not even in a racist sense, but in a sense that it slows down tech advance if you look at those areas where it happens vs where it doesn't). if it's a simulation, then its a smarter idea to pair people with highest intelligence with others similar to them, because then technology improvess faster

I think I got this quote from MASH, but no, we're not in Hell. This is real life, which is arguably worse; Hell has no innocents, everybody in Hell at least deserves to be in Hell, but in real life people are constantly going through undeserved, pointless, mindless cruelty. It's the idea that in real life there's a baby being born right now that'll live only long enough so they can die from aids or parasites or something.

Like I seriously doubt people in 1845 were lying around writing how shitty the 1840s were and how the world lost its soul compared to 1810s. Instead the writings from back then show a huge optimism and excitement about the future.
also just look at perceptions of time is. Everyone loves to think BACK now. We think of the 80s and 90s. Boomers think of the 60s. Even older people think of the 50s. Even the concept of MAGA is based on this - "we need to go back to how things were in the 1950s, when things were great". There's no optimism about the future at all, we all expect it's just going to be more globohomo, more degeneracy, more immigration, less trust, less wealth, and more eating of bugs.

So they made the world nice for about 50 years. Things had meaning and effort back then. Look at what McDonalds became - from an inviting, colorful, fun place for families to a black and grey Starbucks that sells burgers. Eliminating the draft had a lot to do with it, too: without any actual skin in the game, the gov't found it owes its citizens (tax-paying cattle) nothing, so nothing is what we get. The culture declined post-2000 after most of the Greatest Generation died off and retarded boomers decided to sell the country out for prosperity - not for their children though, fuck them.
