to the best of my experience/knowledge, IF this were a simulation (and its tough to say, because its not simple to prove one way or the other, Im leaning toward <no>, <it's random>)

IF it is a simulation, that would make it a test and if it is a test, then whatever or whoever put us here wants to see how intelligent we are and what we can achieve or build with the resources given

then I don't think we should all intermix out of a weird political white woman getting back at their dad fetish, because it would take longer to build everything that way (not even in a racist sense, but in a sense that it slows down tech advance if you look at those areas where it happens vs where it doesn't). if it's a simulation, then its a smarter idea to pair people with highest intelligence with others similar to them, because then technology improvess faster

It's true that animals, at least higher ones, can and do give up and die from misery, but that's not always a case of learned helplessness, whatever you even mean by that.
A whale whose entire pod was hunted in the 1800s might commit suicide. Was that learned helplessness? Did that whale just need to find a self-help book or pull himself up by his bootstraps?
