there was a town, in Mexico, San Cristóbal de las Casas irc, it was rather poor so when a Coca-Cola factory opened nearby Coca-Cola became cheaper than water so the villagers started drinking that instead. most them then became obese and diabetic . no other dietary change happened other than the introduction of sugar

but apparently despite this I'm still supposed to believe that sugar consumption is unrelated to diabetes because of some grain lobby backed study on lab rats.

sugar didn't do anything special it was just the added calories. it is common for people to not perceive calories consumed in beverages. this is how alcohol drinkers get fat and how coffee milkshake drinkers get fat, too.

This could be true as well. They went from drinking water at zero calories to drinking Coke at 12/fluid ounce. These are poor people living in a fucking desert so I doubt they had office jobs, so they would probably consume 3L of water per day. That’s 1,200+ additional completely non-satiating calories per day.

I’m not saying sugar is ok, just that this is a bad example.

I remember that drink being good tasting. But I haven't had one in a decade by now and I can't say I miss it either

Coke is 90% water so I dunno how it's cheaper. Sound to me like big water (probably nestle) pulled a fast one on the locals

Yes.

Beef, pork, chicken rice and wheat are not native to Mexico. They've been surviving for tens of thousands of years on beans and corn. It doesnt matter where you find them today the majority are obese because theyre genetically incapable of handling the .modern surplus of calories (from any source)

People always overlook the racial aspect of dietary needs, presumably because we’re all supposed to be biologically identical and it’s mean to say otherwise.

Asians eat simple carbs with every meal and they’re all really thin. Give a nigger nothing but rice and she’ll blow up luke a hippo.
