You're probably referring to the Hansen model from 1988. Pic related.
It had 3 scenarios, with the red line being if we went full "business as usual" for the whole duration. People love to cite that prediction as if Hansen was saying with any degree of certainty that this was our future.
The other two colored lines show what his model predicted if some measures were taken to mitigate it. The black line is observation.

This model ended up being superceded because it wasn't accurate enough and it overestimated climate sensitivity.

Climate change is real but there's nothing that can be done about it. Even if we did economically cripple ourselves in the West and drastically lower our standard of living in order to be carbon neutral or would make zero difference since China, India and the rest of the world would ignore it.
