>My brother offered to pay for my dinner if I stopped at a Fish and Chips restaurant.
>My mother lives in resort town so it's very busy this time of year.
I noticed there's a bunch of old white haired Canadians and a few groups of "newcomers".
I told my brother I'm going to sit in the car. A Sikh family walks by and the man says hello while passing. I just look at him. There's an Asian family walking around but that's easier to ignore. There's a cute little girl, with blonde hair and a summer dress playing on the swing, and all of a sudden a Muslim family shows up and the boys basically take the play structure over and the girl leaves. This upset me. As soon as I decide to leave the car and at least stand next to my brother an RCMP officer shows up and tells me to move my vehicle "I'm not parked legally", so I get back in and move.
At first I wanted the boomers to enjoy their new guests. This reminded me why I don't go to restaurants anymore but I don't think white flight is an effective strategy.
What is the right way to go about this type of situation?
