Floods have never happened before. It's because of 0.04% CO2 in the atmosphere. It's like a thermostat that kills white camping girls if your SUV spits out an extra 0.000001%. You know it's bullshit. I know it's bullshit, but we need threads with 250 replies to hit the bump limit, so we believe it.

I personally believe in man made climate change to an extent but itโ€™s becoming increasingly common that any and all weather events are ascribed to it which is ludicrous. Moreover, most of the people I hear from and encounter who demand action on climate change still buy nearly all their goods from overseas, travel frequently, often live in structures that are large, the construction of which involved tearing down vegetation, the maintenance of which require energy, spray chemicals everywhere at the sight of a bug or weed, etc. then theyโ€™ll drive a quarter mile to McDonaldโ€™s and get a bunch of shit in single use plastic containers. We had a windy March in eastern North America, as we often do, and I had to listen to people say it was the result of global warming.

Which leads me to the question of why?

If youโ€™re calling it the largest in terms of destruction to property, which I assume you have to be since it wasnโ€™t one of the largest by size, how do you factor in the fact that the areas hurricanes make landfall on in the US, the gulf coast and eastern seaboard, are more developed now than ever before and this have more to destroy?

>An arroyo or wash is a dry watercourse that temporarily or seasonally fills and flows after sufficient rain. Flash floods are common in arroyos following thunderstorms.
Nobody familiar with the matter is surprised that a floodplain flooded. If it's raining in Texas hill country, you get out of low areas.

"Global warming" (tm) is a scam.
It is fake science that turned out that they faked the temperatures data.
it turned out so fake that they had to rebrand, rename
"Global warming" (TM) scam into "Climate change" (TM) scam.

As was pushed by oligarchs, "Global warming" (TM) doesn't exist.

The fault in our stars is that the public discussion on climate change is fundamentally a discourse of futility. The idea that the government, and energy companies, outsourced the public to "work it out in the comment section", is fucking retarded and disingenuous. It's the tactic of a body that isn't actually interested in actually doing anything about it because if they really cared they wouldn't have asked for our dumb fucking opinions. There wasn't a "chat, what do you think?" debate for drunk driving, lead paint, leaded gas, seat belts, corn syrup, fluoride, that ?fridge gas that was burning a hole in the ozone layer?, they just did them. Literally never in the past has the government handled a measure of public health, environment, or science, as a "democratic public forum", they fucking forced change on society as any helicopter parent would.
