Yeah, this is how it worked to some extent in prehistoric societes. Not in any organized one. Having half of the population competing over who has the biggest harem is unsustainable in a civilized society.

That's why monogamous marriage became a thing and that's why women's sexuality was controlled already thousands of years ago. Marriage was a socially mandated contract that established the rules of inheritance and the family unit, that had very little to do with sexual urges or desires.

I don't totally disagree with this but the term "unnatural" has never sit well with me. If humans are a product of nature, why would only some of their behavior be considered natural? If men who are considered less attractive due to physical characteristics are able to gain control of resources and wealth, does that not make doesn't that skill or ability make them more desired as mates?

The "patriarchy" you're referring to resulted in a largely indiscriminate increase in the birthrate. OP's post is about the premise of female selection being eugenic and discriminatory.

If you take a look at civilization and history, its clear that its been a bad deal for the majority of people. Only people at the extremes of the spectrum truly benefit from it; the richest and most powerful people live like gods, and the genetically weak get to survive in some comfort. Everybody in between gets a worse life than they'd have had in prehistory. Sure we get some ncie things now that we wouldn't have had then, but its a cope at best.

Female selection leads to more masculine, more attractive, and larger dicked men. Wouldn't we all like to be like that? The downside for men is you have to share your foid with other men, or at least she probably won't be a virgin, you probably won't know who your kids are, and the lower tier men of each generation don't get any at all.

But we don't have that, and while it might look like we're returning to it, it won't last long. Civilization is collapsing and female choice is going to go with it. If civilization doesn't collapse, then genetic engineering and artificial wombs mean all of this hardly matters anyway.
