There are tho. My old neighbor was descended from some of them Chinese brought over to get blown up to make the railroads. A lot of the ones that came over during the gold rush and building of the transcontinental railroad did go back, either forcefully or by choice, but plenty stayed around.

Asians tend to stay connected to their home countries. I knew a girl in school who was British born Chinese but still had the accent and spoke Cantonese at home, then one day her family just fucked off back to Hong Kong. then I check facebook years later and she's back in England but only hangs out with Chinese people. they're like yellow gypsies.
