Most movies lose money which they’re able to write off if they discontinue the production and revenue off of them which sometimes leads to good movies that suffered from poor marketing or release issues getting disappeared into the ether and can be legitimately tragic. Surely there are enough superhero movies at this point. I watched a bit of an X Men one and could appreciate that it's light entertainment with a lot of spectacle which is fine but it's not exactly deep.
