I tried Farming Simulator but it's just so incredibly boring. And I even like autistic sandbox games.
You just watch the AI drive through the field row by row with the tractor, and then repeat it with 10 different farming tools. That's it. That's the entire game.
The player's gameplay is basically changing the tool on the tractor and then telling the AI where to go with it.

I've been thoroughly enjoying Rogue Trader lately, to the extent its fucking up my sleep pattern. Imagine Baldur's Gate 3 but 10x the size, with no faggotry, a vastly better storyline, actually likable characters and loads more different shit to do. Assuming you like tactics/turn based combat ala XCOM, which I fucking froth over so 10/10 in my book.

For me its just to learn a bit about it. I'm looking into starting an acreage but I don't know how everything works so this gives me an idea of what a basic setup looks like in different budget ranges and what does what. The alternative is spending hours on boring youtube videos which I'll have to do anyway too but this makes it more fun.

I did electrician simulator and car mechanic simulator too and while they basically just have you click to swap out the faulty parts, there is some good education in learning how to diagnose the problems and seeing how the things are built when you take them apart. And in electrician sim you get to follow the circuits around the house which gave me new appreciation for power boxes.

I had to uninstall Gunsmith simulator on principle because I was getting orders from people asking me to paint their grandpas old hunting gun blue. I painted them to complete the mission but unpainted them before I sent them back to the owner.

I really like the 3 way karma system in Rogue Trader, having Heretic, Iconoclast, and Dogmatic, and having your potential allies and entire quest lines opened/closed based on where you sit. The admin is actually fun, having to make decisions like one of those choose your own adventure books. In one of these, I ended up needing to decide what to do with a bunch of refugees from one of the worlds in my protectorate, and chose to resettle them on another planet. The next page told me that I'd destroyed the workers' livelihoods on that planet, sent the place into poverty and ultimately it ended in mass bloodshed. I thought "heh".
