First you have the spirit herders and their role is to lead the spirits back to the material plane for reincarnation. There are instances when they make a grab for the role of body herder themselves, and if succesful, their family will now be in charge of the material plane.

Next on our list are the commoners. They live to serve the common good for the realm. If they are lucky and ambitious enough, they would work hard enough to elevate themselves to a higher rank.

And at last we reached the dalit. Their sole purpose is to be a prison for the wicked souls. Beware of the dalit, they corrupt the land wherever they go and it is the duty of every living being to contain them in the underbelly of society, where they can do no harm.
