60-70% of our economy is service based which isnt too unusual in the developed world but it means that we have to create more services to grow or add more people and the only way we do that is through immigration, we have pretty much thought up every service we can mainly through pointless bureaucracy.

What is more alarming is our housing market, two thirds of bank loans are tied up in housing mortgages and 13% of our economy is real estate (this is higher than manufacturing, selling mineral resources and agriculture combined) If we were to do some crazy 'big build' this would dilute the market and the loans on the banks books would be worth a lot less so when politicians say "we are going to build more" they wont, there will always be a shortage, there always 'must' be a shortage or you will crash the banks and kill 13% of the economy which no goverment will ever do.

So the Answer to your question: Australia is a scam, you will never get ahead and now we are staring down the barrel of AI and Automation which the whole world is going feel.

The fact an Indian or a Chinese person can get business influence in Australia and use it to import more people of their country is objectively evil.
