>A teenager has told a court of the moment his stepbrother allegedly tried to kill him in a knife attack while lying on his bed about to play Call of Duty.
>George Score was in the midst of a heated row with his stepmum over cleaning his room when her son Jamie Goodege is said to have straddled him and stabbed him in the chest.
>Score said that having worked all week, he was lying on his bed, chatting to a friend on the phone and getting ready to play his game when his stepmother began shouting, swearing and accusing him of being lazy.
>He explained that even after he said he would end the call and clean the stain, her screaming continued.
>But he said it was when he responded with the comment β€œOh, f****** whatever” that the defendant intervened, telling him β€œYou f****** loud c***. Keep talking like that, I swear to God”.
>George said he was still lying on his bed as he replied to Goodege: β€œShut up, you gobby little c***.”

you could save upto Β£20k in ISAs at X% interest and you wouldn't get taxed on the interest. now you'll have to pay tax on the interest above the new allowance of, by the sound of it Β£4k.
if you had Β£20k in ISA at 4%, you get Β£800 interest and in the future you'll be taxed on ~Β£600 of that depending on your tax rate, it could be an extra Β£300 tax a year.
but the issue the media aren't going into is that people maxed out their ISA every year so they have many years of Β£20k tax free which is now going to be taxed. so next year someone could have to pay Β£300 for every year they maxed out their ISA which could be Β£7000 or more if you've been ISAing for the 20 or so year it has been around.

also because the diverse nature of your Jury of Peers means that people of an ethnic group are likely to take into account that the accused looks like them and is a victim of systematic racism and should probably get the benefit of doubt and the crime was fair because it was against a white woman.

>A dossier on paedophiles allegedly associated with the British government was assembled by the British Member of Parliament Geoffrey Dickens, who handed it to the then-Home Secretary, Leon Brittan, in 1984. The whereabouts of the dossier is unknown, along with other files on organised child abuse that had been held by the Home Office.[1]

>In 2013, the Home Office stated that all relevant information had been passed to the police, and that Dickens' dossier had not been retained. It was later disclosed that 114 documents concerning child abuse allegations were missing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_paedophile_dossier

>In March 2014, evidence emerged that PIE had received grants totalling Β£70,000 from the Home Office, after a whistleblower told police he witnessed a successful three-year grant renewal application for Β£35,000 in 1980, implying that a similar grant had been made in 1977.[46]

>In June 2015, documents emerged as a result of a BBC freedom of information request that revealed the then Conservative Home Secretary, Leon Brittan, refused to support a bill designed to outlaw PIE because he considered the law on incitement of sexual activities with children to be "not so clear".[57][58]

>The UK government and Google Cloud have announced a new partnership to rid the public sector of legacy tech and rapidly improve productivity within government.

>Peter Kyle, secretary of state for science, innovation and technology, announced the move during a speech at Google Cloud Summit London 2025, noting that the government looks to forge closer ties with tech firms to achieve digital transformation plans.

>He described the current reliance on legacy technology within the public sector as a β€œball and chain”, with over a quarter of public sector systems reliant on outdated tech.

>Kyle added that across UK police forces, this reliance may be as high as 70%, leaving them burdened with high operating costs and at high risk of cyber attacks.

>β€œWith contracts signed decades ago and high costs of exit, we've seen a few tech companies really taking liberties with the public sector. In the worst cases, contracts have made it impossible for the public sector organizations to move on,” he explained.

>β€œThey've locked up their data in vulnerable, archaic servers only to have the price of maintaining that tech hiked up year on year, with no sign of light at the end of the tunnel.”

Immigrants did not cause Britain’s social housing shortage
The idea that British nationals are passed over for social housing is a myth that refuses to die.
It’s long been a tactic of the hard right to incite racial tension over housing.
Anonymous (ID: mYafuhek) United Kingdom No.509932105 >>509934571 >>509938081
The Daily Mail’s article about sickness benefits exceeding Β£25k is blatant propaganda and misrepresentation. It’s designed to provoke anger, not provide facts. Here’s why:

1. Cherry-picked maximum figures
It cites a rare, combined total from multiple benefits (Universal Credit + PIP + housing), but most people don't receive that.
PIP is not based on income or unemploymentβ€”it’s a difficult-to-access benefit for disabled people:

https://www.gov.uk/pip/eligibility

2. False equivalence with wages
It compares pre-tax, unearned support to post-tax, full-time earnings, ignoring real-life costs like transport, childcare, and job-related expenses:

https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/cost-of-living-and-poverty-in-the-uk-faqs/

And it falsely implies people are choosing not to work, when many are physically or mentally unable.

3. Stigmatising narrative
This isn't about "refusing to work"β€”rising long-term sickness claims are driven by:

NHS waiting lists: https://www.bmj.com/content/381/bmj.p1044

Mental health breakdowns: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-68390941

Long COVID and chronic illness: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/conditionsanddiseases

4. System is already one of the harshest

UK benefits are far from β€œbloated.” In fact:

Statutory Sick Pay is just Β£116.75 per week: https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay

Unemployment benefit replaces just 12% of average earningsβ€”one of the lowest in the OECD:
https://www.tuc.org.uk/research-analysis/reports/universal-credit-and-working-poverty

5. Scapegoating tactics

This isn't journalismβ€”it’s ragebait. It shifts blame for national economic failure onto disabled people, instead of tackling broken systems, NHS collapse, or workplace discrimination.

>The idea that immigrants are prioritised over British nationals for social housing is what the academic Rob Ford calls a β€œzombie myth”: it refuses to die. The 2021 Census found just 7 per cent of people in social housing in England and Wales had a non-UK passport (compared to 10 per cent of non-UK passport holders in the general population).
Retard perspective, almost no one with a non-UK passport should be in social housing. If you can't support yourself, you should return home
>It’s also untrue that recent migrants are filling spots: almost all social housing tenants born abroad have been living in Britain for decades. Most new arrivals have β€œno recourse to public funds” and so can’t claim benefits or apply for a council house.
And this is just pure obfuscation, as it's intentionally omitting the housing of recent migrants in hotels, and more recently initiatives for private contractors like Serco to snap up private rentals for housing migrants. "But it's not *council* housing!" it's still a state-funded residence, don't play dumb, faggot.
Besides which, local authorities have a statutory duty to provide housing for children and/or disableds, regardless of if they have NRPF or not. That includes migrants. It may not be true 'council housing', but it will be housing paid for by the council (here in the SW, they pay exorbitant sums to put them in caravans and holiday cottages during the off-seasons)
>The zombiest stat of all is that nearly half of London’s council housing is occupied by non-Brits. The Telegraph had to run a correction after repeating this bogus story in June. The accurate figure is that 48 per cent of London’s social housing is occupied by foreign-born heads of household
Mental-midget hair-splitting. "Oh, well it's actually just 48% *foreign born*, they could still have British passports!" don't care, see above for 'if you can't support yourself, go home'.

its not, by any metric
>Every time I look at it, it says "You need a physical or menthol elf + doctor's note if u can"
no, thats not what it says, what it says is you need medical history evidence of the conditions you're claiming for and how they affect you. thats massively different from a doctor's note. they need your info thats on file with rNHS to verify your claim
>Back when I was having anxiety attacks multiple times a day are NHS put me in a waiting list, then when I got to the "interview" I said my anxiety had reduced to one a day which meant I was no longer eligible for help,
yeah because they want to reduce waiting lists and will only see you if you either are, or are close to being a worst case scenario
but thats specifics, thats specifically for anxiety at the point of application of pip too
most people who get pip get it AFTER diagnosis and AFTER treatment, with a history already established

>>509939011
>That's a bad thing. It ought to be means-tested.
its not means tested for good reason
because the average disabled person has many more costs than the average non-disabled person
PIP is meant to mitigate that
means testing it would defeat the purpose of its existance entirely
so your position obviously isn't logical

>It can't be that inaccessible of 6% of the population, 1-in-20 people, can get on it
1 in 20
that means 19 in 20 can't
and a massive portion of that 1 in 20 have difficulties getting it, many don't, without having to go to a tribunal

Yes, that's the point of means testing; to determine if they're able to meet those costs without additional state support. 'Being disabled has associated costs' doesn't automatically mean disabled people lack the means to meet those costs independently. You get that, yeah?

not really because a doctor's note is just a note your GP gives you to tell you that you can have time off work or whatever
your medical history is everything in your NHS file from childhood until present day. two completely different things spanning different time periods and the latter will be written by lots of different medical professionals and will give a far more cohesive, contextual analysis of your overall condition
a doctor's note just says "anon is sick, needs time off"

>Anon saying 1-in-20 makes it sound like either most of society is disabled or they're getting free money for the wrong reasons.
iirc 1 in 4 people have some sort of debilitating condition or disability
thats roughly 20% of the population
which makes sense because:
1 - ageing population
2 - people having kids later
3 - financial crisis leading to poorer health from stress + cheap food
4 - lack of healthcare / support due to nhs backlog and lack of funding for support services
5 - boat people clogging up infrastructure
many of these conditions could've been circumvented early if the country wasn't in dire straits infrastructurally

secondarily, only about 1 in 4 people with a disability actually receive pip

so 20% of the population have a condition that makes them eligable for pip
but only 20% of those eligable for pip get it based on the actual numbers (3.7 million successful claims)

Reminds me of Cameron going to Brussels in early 2016 to get a better deal, getting publicly laughed at and subsequently everyone being just oh so shocked when Leave won.

>Yes, that's the point of means testing; to determine if they're able to meet those costs without additional state support. 'Being disabled has associated costs' doesn't automatically mean disabled people lack the means to meet those costs independently. You get that, yeah?
whether or not they can afford them independently doesn't matter, the fact of the matter is the bulk of people who can afford those costs independently would not be able to without extra support. so without pip, they would never have been able to get to that point in the first place

>iirc 1 in 4 people have some sort of debilitating condition or disability
It's 24% of the population having some form of disability, not necessarily debilitating or requiring PIP
Of those who report disability, 45% are above state pension age, and therefore not entitled to claim PIP. Another 11% are children, and therefore not yet entitled to claim PIP (minimum age 16). So only 10.6% of the pop. are both disabled, and within the relevant age bracket for PIP https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-9602/

>whether or not they can afford them independently doesn't matter,
Yes, it fucking does. The whole principle of a social safety net falls apart if it's being used by people capable of managing without.
>the fact of the matter is the bulk of people who can afford those costs independently would not be able to without extra support
If that were so, means-testing would barely make a difference anyway, so why not just do it?
>thats what I was referring to you low IQ subhuman
You think 1-in-20 people across the ENTIRE population being on a single type of benefit is fine and normal?
