I'll go first. I learned to play chess and played very frequently against the other children (3 of us alltogether) in a small hut with colored paper taped over the windows. We also did speeches/storytelling exercises for the lower grades.

I clearly remember the headsets and the strange beeping tests. Our room was small within the interior of the school with only one table that seated up to four people in the center. I don't remember the other students, but I think there may have only been maybe two others. The room had no windows and was kept dimly lit. The clearest memory I have was of our instructor showing us "oobleck", the non-Newtonian fluid, and having us mess with it and learn about it. Paperwork I still have proves that my instructor was named Anita Pister, the sister of Kristofer Pister, who was in the supposed inventor of smart dust nanotech.

I recall going through these tests as a kid. My perception of time is probably shoddy for how long it took, but it was several sessions across what I think was a few weeks. Always the same two men.

Hearing test of some kind, where you'd raise a hand for the side you heard it on. Probably should've been my parents first clue something was off with me neurologically. I've got audio-tactile synesthesia, and I could feel the tones that were beyond my hearing range. I recall them questioning me about it quite a bit, asked me to describe the sensations at various pitches, and actually had me mark a diagram of where the sensations were. I'm guessing they wrote down correlating frequency? They took a lot of notes.

I recall looking at a ton of images, ranging from Rorschach type images, to photos, to illustrations, etc. and being asked to describe how they made me feel, but they would push for elaboration in the sense of the 'environment' of the image, not my emotions. I also recall them asking me to name the people if they were in the image or whatever.

I vaguely recall a sensory test of some kind where my eyes were covered, and I was asked to describe how imagining different things, words, places, appeared in to me in my mind. They would play audio clips, and ask me to describe how they appeared in my imagination.

There was another sort of vision test, where they turned the lights off, and used the typical eye exam letter chart but with images, and used different light colors on it. I recall seeing different images appear based on the color of the light. I distinctly recall a green light causing a few letters to shimmer really brightly. Cannot for the life of me recall what letters it was, though.

There were a few 'toy' tests of some kind, but I'm really fuzzy on the details. Maybe something about arranging objects within a fixed space. I do recall tabletop mazes.

We had these things called "3-D Logic Puzzles" that involved memorizing how something was built (like a simple cube puzzle) and then writing out how to disassemble and reassemble it. By 5th grade, we were doing really complicated designs, like a whole submarine or aircraft.

Lots of chess, of course. And the card game with the five symbols.

We also did a meditation game, where we all listened to the same audio track, and were then told to draw any animal we wanted, and we all drew a camel, which we all thought was weird, but the facilitator told us it made sense to him.

I remember sometimes when they wouldn't have tests for us they'd still pull us out of class as usual we'd do random shit.
Like for instance they taught us how to sew, I made a pillow for my mom. Another time it was just before Christmas break we had been through a bunch more random tests that made no sense we just watched a movie. One of the tests I remember was close my eyes and try to draw and guess whatever object was behind like a big divider setup on the table. We made a game out of it with a score board, I got 2nd place or 3rd place pretty consistently. Only got 1st I think twice and we did that test a lot.
There wasn't that many of us in the class, all the other kids came from the rich neighborhood in my town I was the only poor one. I was the only male in the whole class as well, every single other child in that class was female. I think this was around 4th grade ~2010 or so. Some representative from the government in the suit/dress I can't remember her name would always be writing notes on her clipboard whenever we did basically anything. Like studying our behavior.
I haven't thought about that class in years. It still weirds me out, I remember liking the chaperone lady, though. I never met anyone mean in that class and it wasn't an unpleasant experience at all, just weird. One thing that ALWAYS stuck out to me we were told to just not tell the other kids or anyone outside of the class what we were doing.
Another thing I found odd, every single person in that class had blonde hair, too and was White. I'm White but I was the only person with brown hair. There was not a single non White in the entire class, not even the chaperone lady she had blonde hair. I don't know if that has to do with anything but my school was about maybe around 15% black and 5% Hispanic so that always stood out to me as statistically if they had just chose a bunch of kids to put in the class then there would have been black or brown kids but there were none.

By 2nd grade we had to play "written chess", which I think is really called "correspondence chess", but basically we sat like we were playing chess, but we weren't allowed to move the pieces. We got to look at the board, and had to write down our moves, but you couldn't touch the pieces. One kid was really good at it, but he moved.

We did a lot of puzzles and learned about ancient Egypt. Lots of focus on Pyramids. We mummified a chicken and buried it out in the playground as a group project. I really liked those 9 piece square puzzles that had images over the gaps and you could only line them up one way. Our first teacher was some weird old lady who left after dropping a knife through her foot. She was replaced by this absolute psychopath of a younger, (early 40s?) woman. I don’t remember much about the psycho other than something about her pyramid lesson made me cry and she brought me out to the hall to berate me for being a class-disrupting quitter. It might have been because she denied God. I also remember the test to get in having something to do with clocks. Thinking back it might have been some sort of simple math problem, but it might have been above grade level. Who knows?
Everyone who was in GATE at my school got letters from leadership camps in DC. I could never afford to go. We all also got put into the “advanced” track for our schooling all the way through high school.

Coastal Atlantic South here. The program was 100% white for me too. We were even told not to talk about the program to protect the feelings of kids who were drummed out or never made it.

Honestly nothing unusual except for my aptitude test. I shared what happened with Andrew basiago and he told me some trippy shit. Apparently GATE connected to secret programs and I met someone who I didn’t realize wasn’t “local”. I don’t want to doc myself because I have spoken publicly before, but GATE was looking for gifted kids to use for black projects, but again, nothing weird for me besides the test. I remember them subjecting me to an array of what I assume were IQ tests. I would have a small wooden frame with a grid in front of me, and the grid had small wooden blocks that would fit into the square sockets in it. The blocks were all dual colored or blank. Some blocks had a diagonal line from one corner to another, splitting the blocks into 2 triangles. Others were split horizontally, some were blank and some were solid squares. The tester would show me completed images that were the same size and composition as the grid in front of me, and I would have to re-create the shape. They would time me while I did this.

I also remember having to solve pattern problems (pick the next shape in the sequence triangle triangle circle square triangle etc.) Various math tests such as doing 100 simple addition problems as fast as I could, followed by subtraction / multiplication / division etc. Then they had me take a test where there were 100 mixed operator math problems.

Definitely remember the "hearing" tests too. Various sequences of beeps and blips that I had to raise my left or right hands for depending on what ear the sound came from in the headphones.

I got recruited by the government into special programs twice but my parents never accepted it. They wanted to have me go to Australia for what was described as basically private schooling on the governments dollar. My grades weren't good, but they constantly had me in the gate program trailers.
I remember this one girl she was my friend, she was in there just as much as me but one day she disappeared. The teachers said she moved but we always talked and she never said anything about moving.

We assembled LEGO robots and controlled them via an Apple II. Only one other student and I out of 15-20 kids were able to complete the lesson. The other student got numerous scholarships in high school and ended up at Skunkworks. I ended up here.

I was in the gifted program in elementary school for exactly 1 (one) year. All of the smart kids at the school (who all happened to be my friends as well) were in that program too so idk if they reccomended me or if I got in on my own merit. I don't remember if the class was called GATE or not but I remember we spent most of the year studying European castles and how they were designed and built in ancient times. The class was held in the computer lab when no other kids were around which was literally in a dark corner off to the edge of the school.

Like I said I was only in the class for one year so if it was the GATE program then I must have failed as a candidate for the program and they decided not to observe me anymore because the rest of my time in public education was just me being a comfortable sperg normie unbothered by anyone. I never got special attention again after that.

This is the only thing from GATE that I remember that weirded anyone else out when I mentioned it. Did you also make and decorate little clay pots for the organs? Honestly looking back I thought it was just a cool lesson, teaching us about history, science, anatomy and art all at once. We had a few lessons like that- our school was right on the coast so we did some walking field trips to the beach, collected seaweed/shells etc and drew pictures, did pressings in clay then left them there on the sand. Wrote a page on something we found when we got back to school. DESU maybe they just let us do more fun/experimental stuff because we were the smart kids who didn’t cause trouble lol. By the time I was in jr high the GATE classes were just the advanced classes anyway, no special test needed or anything.

Mine was in this odd storage closet that made no architectural sense for our building. The hallway was an “L”. At the corner of the L there were two stairs roughly one doorway wide that led to a metal door which didn’t match the rest of the doors in the school. Step inside and there was a small landing and three more stairs up to where the room turned left around the wall. There was just enough space in there to fit a teacher’s desk above the stairs one, single sided table, and a storage cabinet. The back “wall” was all windows to the playground and there was no external door. I was brought upstairs into a somewhat open area with a table and chairs, sat down with two male behavior psychologists in suits and ties at some "treatment/therapy center". I was 5 years old. They also had a female psychologist dressed well, in a dress with a jacket. She was there to encourage me to open up to them.

My GATE was called TAP, Talent Achievement Program.
The classes were separated from the rest of the school in little temporary bungalows like they use for the offices on construction sites parked near the PE fields.
All the windows on the bungalows were covered so no sunlight could get in, the lights in the class were kept dim or off completely, and the AC was absolutely blasting to the point it was probably set at 50 degrees.
Whatever we did in the classroom used the overhead projector a lot. Occasionally we were given odd things to take home that hooked up to your TV and was almost like an NES type video game that reacted when you touched a special controller to the TV screen, but with no clear objectives.
Once a month or so they would take students one by one into a different room where we would sit across a desk from a woman who would give us tests I can't remember, before sending us back and telling us to let the teacher know to send the next student.

Not really a derail, as I aligned mind control which is likely part of GATE with Lieber's plot and COVID jabs.
