I got my head chewed over the phone today because I have to raise the quote by $40,000 because ICE scared away most of my subcontractors’ labor pool.’mind you not all of them are illegal, some of them have green cards but ICE doesn’t give a single fuck.
Everyone who can afford to get their budgets upped to hire the (let’s be real, mostly white) union backed crews have them booked until next year, and everyone who can’t practically abandoned their worksite.
A lot of people are not going to get the buildings they paid for. A fucking disaster is coming and idk what the fuck the gubmint is going to do about it when hundreds of thousands of people across the country are out their money and don’t have constructed property to show for it.
That 40 billion ICE is getting each year will probably go to paying off insurance premiums from lawsuits alone, with what I’m hearing the old boomers want to do
