>>509948932The destruction of art and aesthetic is an actual phenomenon observed at the academic level. The reason beautiful structures aren't built anymore is because architectural schools were intentionally targeted and infiltrated, and all of the Neoclassical/old guard designers were kicked out in favor of "modern" glass box globalist schools of thought. This is an actual thing that happened. It is not a /pol/ meme.
It's also why, for example, when Hungary started rebuilding Budapest to reflect its former pre-WW2 architecture, all of the media came out of the woodwork to yell at Hungary and call them anti-semitic/White supremacist. What does a building have to do with either one of those things? Nothing. Except that they didn't want them to be built.
Thankfully, at least in architectural schools, a rebellion has taken place in recent years, and a lot of people are starting to turn back the clock on what is "acceptable design".
