Vhs tapes don't need time to "start recording. You rewind it all the way back and where you start recording is where the time starts. It doesn't "eat up" a minute of recording when you start. What she is saying doesn't have any meaning in reality. It's jist a deflection and she goes into the trash can with the rest of them.

There's so much they haven't told us.
The blueprints are damning in a way.
Nobody has asked why there isn't footage showing the paramedics coming in and taking him out on the stretcher.
The video we got shows us exactly which door everyone would've came in and out of. Since that camera was working it should also show all of the people who came to the scene when they found his body and it should show all of the people who left with his body.
Instead the video we got just conveniently cuts out "around the time they believe he committed suicide".
