The comic books were out for half a century. It was the movie that did it, and the movie wasn't good, it wasnt the first black superhero movie.

ok im taking a good look at the pictures now. Were they just hoping that copying all the swoopy archetecture was going to accomplish the goal of "making a real life wakanda" wtf would this thing have been? Most of the compartments in the 1 structure they built are useless. They failed to make a "smart city" at step 1.
And I can see that building on the cgi rendering. They were literally going to copy the artistic rendering of a futuristic city as their actual blue print for building a real city that works.
Also, the CGI version of the building is towering over those trees. It's a huge building with a funny shape. The real one those compartments look man sized. I can't tell what that stuff at the bottom is. This is not a 50ft plus tall building. were they going to build wakanda at 1/3 scale? Like it'd be a fucking theme park, but with a bunch of people hanging their laundry out the windows and dumping their shit into the gutter after the bucket's full. I wish they had finished.

They don't, Niger doesn't have buyers for uranium, gold or coltan from the nationalized mines yet.

And there's several hurdles with selling uranium ore on the open market, chiefly the only demand for it will be from countries that can enrich it and don't rely on Urenco or Orano to do so.

Which leaves Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iran and North Korea. And most of them are Uranium miners already.
