I can in some ways, but neither do I speak mandarin nor would I do too well at toeing the CCPartyline

I proposed to my now-ex after 2 years together. She was 28 when i proposed. She was outspoken, seemed strong, was Christian, had a healthy friend-base, liked to go out, and seemed like she could handle herself, after she said Yes, she broke down mentally. She started doubting everything about our relationship and at the same time was getting me to help with hiring caterers, planners, and even booked a venue and bought a dress while saying she was freaking out. I tried to help, but a few months after our engagement, she broke down entirely, called it off, broke up with me, lost her job and became alcoholic. She ended up going to rehab, getting out, tried to overdose on pills, and got sent to a mental hospital for 2 months.

Now she's out, calls me occasionally, and doesn't know what she's doing. All because the prospect of actually being married fucked her up so bad. Today's women have no idea how to handle pressure.

Meanwhile, here I am making over 100k a year, have my own house, paid off my car and have lost 20lbs since the break up.

Idunno when the fuck I'll try another relationship, but I have yet to find a woman who I believe can actually be a wife again. Its like its the ultimate curse for them.

There's some financial benefits to getting married, but there's also arguably better financial benefits to being in a relationship but not getting married. For example, a single mother could easily get a place to live and food stamps and stuff.
