I still curse the bongs daily for fumbling Gallipoli. If that had succeeded then Constantinople could have been on the table as a part of surrender terms for the Ottomans.

When the time arrives we will retake Constantinople. Just like the Spanish removed the Moors from Iberia. These are simply not Muzzrat or Turkic lands. It will return to its rightful owner.

Constantinople would have been retaken quite easily in the 19th century if not for the kike Disraeli. It's much harder now and would need the collapse of the Turkish state.

I find it fascinating how the Hagia Sophia provided the template for mosques in the Ottoman empire for the rest of its existence. I actually like the post-1453 mosques and how the imperial architects innovated on the Hagia Sophia's style, they made some beautiful buildings with genuine SOVL. Some of my favorite examples are from the Ottoman Baroque period, like pic related

>innovated Hagia Sophiaโ€™s style
this doesnt even make any sense everyone knows ottomns contributed jack shit and made zero cultural advancements beyond their extremely indulgent proclivities leading very delicious food and fruity tobacco. how do you โ€œinnovateโ€ an architectural style adopted from people you conquered? is the dome of the rock an innovation too to you?

You do realize that both the West and the Ottomans extensively cross-pollinated each other in their art and architecture, especially during the Baroque period? The Ottoman Empire only became the sick man of Europe in the 19th century.

> is the dome of the rock an innovation too to you?

Yes, actually. It is one of the prime examples of Umayyad architecture, aside from the Great Mosque of Damascus. It stemmed a good bit from the Byzantine architecture of the time (which also cross-pollinated with Persian architecture) while innovating in its style in many ways to achieve a uniquely Islamic aesthetic. It helped set the ground for the monumental calligraphic style and motifs we're familiar with today in Islamic art.
