Serious hat: there were a bunch of really bad famines during the 1970s/80s and a lot of boomers felt so sad and also disgusted by former colonial governments' indifference that helping out Africa became a lifelong passion. I think people have an mental expiry date after which point they can't really judge things very well anymore, let's put it at around 60 being generous, maybe even 55 it should be at. A lot of people who are 60+ and still appearing to be killing it are actually just leaning on their past reputation and their past techniques at rhetoric and such, Jordan Peterson is a good example, it's not really thinking things through critically anymore. fwiw I'm 40 myself I know my time will come, not like I'm some zoomer saying this.

Past a certain age, people are not able to think properly anymore, they just relying on past experience - as it may come out as them saying all the right things and even being charismatic and shit, it's a veneer.
