Note that these are easy problems to solve on paper. The problem with losing your job is not losing your job it is losing your livelihood. Some asshole running a fast food franchise should not be able to take that from you. He should be able to remove you from the premisis.

You should be able to fire people for any reason at all, just because you want to. There being total at-will employment. This makes things much easier for the management and saves a ton of money and fixes a bunch of distortions. On the other hand, you should have to pay them proper unemployment for doing so. This should be something like 80% of your regular wage for six months, and have the time period extend based on years of service. Someone who worked three years somewhere should have like an entire year of UI and nearly their full salary to get back on their feet. Naturally this would not kick in until a few months in and managing scammers could be dealt with easily.

You've never heard such a proposal but you hear endless whining online about muh $15 hour. Don't be an idiot - if it is signal-boosted on the internet, no matter what it is, it is propaganda and a lie tricking you into believing something and into not paying attention or thinking about things for yourself.

Actual wages are a function of regulation, profit, demand, and other market factors. To fix wages you clean those up. What I suggested is one factor. There are many employers who understand that paying a premium gets you much better stuff and reduces all kinds of costs associated with employees. In and Out and Costco are two examples. This is what the entire workforce/employment world should be geared toward. Remove distortions and wages rise. Shit jobs will still exist, but shit people exist too. Someone who shows up sober and works competently will not be stuck in those roles.

The key to online propaganda is to flood the information space and crowd your mind. They tell the same things over and over and over again. Over and over and over again. They do this to ensure that you think only about this thing. They care less about that thing than they do about keeping you from thinking of any OTHER things.

To survive in the information age people need to learn that the "messages" they receive from their feeds and news and all media are controlled, not organic. Once that clicks in your mind it becomes very easy to tune them out whenever you want. You can't be hooked on shit if you know it is shit. The trick, the important thing, is to prevent YOU from discovering that it is shit.
