JEETs incompetently code our planes, and as the competent white mid-40's+ man retires, soon JEETs will be our only pilots aswell.

Now you know why their ancient texts and artifacts depicted rudimentary planes and nuclear weapons and shit. White people bring technology and actual progress to the world, get subverted by jews or otherwise die off, and the world descends to planet of the apes again. Rinse and repeat forever.

If theres a few tens/hundreds of thousands of years in between each upswing that's enough time for them to collapse enough or geology to partially reclaim them. Maybe a lot of cave systems are the remains of mines

RAT only deploys if catastrophic electrical failure OR catastrophic hydraulic failure OR dual engine failure

During takeoff, retracting the gear needs the electrical system to be augmented by hydraulic system to lift the heavy undercarriage.

My money is on cascading electrical failure causing hydraulic failure leading to dual engine failure.

The RAT will deploy automatically in flight if both engines are at less than minimum idle RPM which they would be if one failed and the other was shut off. I do not believe the crew ever moved the gear lever into the up position do to confusion about the loss of thrust.

Anonymous (ID: tRH6JLhh) United States No.510078499 [Report]

Yes. Shutting down both engines while the aircraft is in flight (air mode) will cause the RAT to automatically deploy.

It was a turbulent takeoff. It's possible even if the back up turbine activated it didn't have enough of an airstream to generate power.

Yeah what I'm guessing is he started takeoff, then for some reason decided to turn off the fuel pumps, the engines spun down causing the RAT to turn on but there wasn't enough pressure for it to work so no backup systems from there, then crash.

I know it doesn't, the pilots reported losing power (no jets, no RAT).

But if they turned off the fuel pump they might have just been incompetent and making a false call.

They always want to blame the pilots - regardless of actual guilt - as blaming the airline (the maintenance crew etc) or the producer is bad for business.
There must be an undeniable proof that the pilots didn't do it for them to not take the blame - with any doubts remaining it's the pilots.

I get where you are coming from but that trend has actually completely reversed recently. It began with the first 737 MAX crash, the Ethiopian Airlines one. Suddenly it became taboo to even suggest the pilots could have possibly saved the airplane. That trend continues today with this India Airlines crash.

Pilots are supposed to use checklists.
I can imagine an Indian believing they are so smart that they don't need a checklist because they can do it from memory, not considering the implications of this behavior until it is too late, kind of like standing next to an incoming train.

>It means multiple electrical systems and their backups all failed
The RAT will deploy automatically for 7 different reasons. In fact in the case of a complete electrical failure such as you are proposing the RAT would not automatically deploy at all because it is released electrically by the HYDIF (Hydraulic Interface Function) or released electrically by the BPCU (Bus Power Control Unit).

That wall was 820ft beyond the end of the runway. I don't really want to derail the thread but that Jeju Air flight was blatant pilot error that couldn't be blamed on the plane because it was a 737NG.
