Because it had to be lightweight.

We have HD video of that hot mess of tinfoil on the moon in 1969, and there was no CGI to fake such a thing.

Somehow, someway, the white people were able to get that hot mess of bullshit to land on the moon and come back to Earth, and there is no room for speculation on this.

because there is no air for thermal transfer, which is what foam insulation is for. so you only need to insulate against radiative heat loss, and a foil works great for that since its lightweight and reflects heat. no wind to rip it off either. its the best material for the job.
Anonymous (ID: 6IofwugC) United States No.510112148 [Report]
Don't be shy on the tinfoil and duct-tape with this job, it's the only thing holding the unit together so we can get to the moon and back again.
White people: Hold my beer, this will prove beyond all shadow of a doubt that my race is better than all of the others.

Cracks a can of chuck norris and gets the job done.

its not gold
it`s actually multiple layers of kapton, aluminum, and mylar
Anonymous (ID: SaoL6hjv) United States No.510112208 [Report]
>>510111501 (OP)

I think that stuff was called Kapton. It was a light weight plastic sheet that provided thermal insulation. Saving weight was very important and the lunar module had very thin walls the astronauts had to be careful not to damage it.

Anon, if you know anything about technology, you'd know that nothing is created in a vaccum (pun intended) in order to make an absolutely 100% female only moon mission, you'd have to first setup a female only world, and then play out the millions of years of technology progress until a moon mission happens.
Not even the apollo mission can be attributed 100% fully and totally to males. (Even if overwhelmingly). How the heck would that even happen?
Do you need to go back and have women rediscover metallurgy from scratch?

It was a single-purpose, single-use vehicle and every part of the project was designed to work under the very strict parameters of the mission.

Now that it's as lightweight as cardboard and tin foil, we can throw onto there a really heavy moonbuddy so these goofy moonnauts can act silly!!

Because it's a movie prop.

Anonymous (ID: kBj549Vs) Canada No.510112735 [Report]
the foil is not structural, i have no idea why you would assume it was. here`s what it looks like without the foil. the body is made from aluminum and titanium. the foil is multiple layers of kapton, aluminum, and mylar to reflect heat with as little weight as possible. there is no wind in space to rip the foil off and no air to conduct heat so they only need radiative insulation and foil works for that. i dont see the problem

>AI Overview
>Question: what is the orange foil on the Apollo 11 moon ...
>The "foil" on the Apollo Lunar Module (LEM) is actually a multi-layered insulation (MLI) blanket, primarily made of aluminized Kapton and Mylar, designed to regulate temperature in the extreme environment of space. This insulation helps protect the spacecraft from the intense heat of the sun and the extreme cold of space, preventing overheating or freezing of the equipment and fuel.
there you go

So if it was faked, where did the launch rocket and and all that go? Genuine questions, same with the astronauts whom hundreds of people watched get on the rocket.

>where did the rocket launch go
LEO then splashdown which actually happened.

>same with the astronauts
They were MK Ultra'd into thinking they actually landed on the moon.

The reason the moon landings were impossible were because of the Van Allen belts that protect the planet from cosmic rays and background radiation of open space which can be compared to walking into a particle accelerator. If the astronauts actually did it, they'd be wearing lead suits rather than the paper thin shit they were wearing.

It's an interesting material. Often used when working with a vacuum.
Perfectly fine to be on that lander.
Also very lightweight, a huge priority when trying to shot things into an orbit, be it around earth or the moon. Often used on satellites too.

Idiot. It's high tech foil and space tape.
Not just regular foil and tape.
Don't you know how important it is that while technically looking like a bag of shit, the names of the materials mean it could have easily made it to the moon.

he`s part of an organized shilling raid. his job is to sound retarded, encourage retardation, well poisoning, and just generally lowering the quality of discourse on the board especially when it comes to conversations about space for some reason.

every hour they post a thread with the same pictures, same arguments, same vibes, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. its astroturfed. they do all the flat earth threads too.

they respond the same way every time. for example when you post this image they will either say "you made the cia nigger a chad" or they will post an image of the cia nigger holding up this meme. same response every time.

you can never get through to them ever and they never concede anything no matter how clearly you blew them out. every argument is in bad faith and they dont even believe what they`re saying.

There exists 1080p video from 1969 of Americans hoofing it around on the moon.

The "we never went to the moon" people are having a laugh. Yes it's unbelievable, but that's just a function of how amazing people from the USA were back in 1969.

1. no wind to blow dust
2. see pic rel
3. he’s in a shadow
4. the descent engine’s thrust was very low on final approach, because the moon has 1/6 earth gravity, and there is no atmosphere to blow dust around (although the LM did kick up some dust as it landed)
